SKYWALK ODYSSEY TOUR

THE GRAND CANYON SPIRIT
The Canyon Spirit is a Grand Canyon helicopter tour that departs from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon taking you over the beautiful Kaibab National Forest, home to the world's largest ponderosa pine forest. Upon reaching the edge of the canyon, the South Rim gently drops away as the North Rim and eastern end of the canyon come into view - one of the most spectacular views in the entire canyon. Q: What type of helicopter does Maverick fly?

Q: What do I need to bring?
Guests over 18 must bring valid photo identification for check-in. Cameras and video cameras are recommended, as well as sunglasses and sunscreen based on the flight type and the time of year. Comfortable clothing and shoes are highly recommended.
Q: Where and when will I be picked up at my hotel?
In Las Vegas, guests will be assigned a pickup time and location at the time of booking. For a list of hotel pick-up locations within a 5 mile radius of the Las Vegas Strip, please CLICK HERE. Guests will be transferred via Maverick Helicopters® transportation. Transportation is not offered at our Grand Canyon location.
Q: What does the complimentary shuttle look like?
Maverick Helicopters has three types of buses—which seat 24, 32 and 35 passengers. They are silver and clearly marked with our red and black Maverick Aviation Group logo. For more details and photos of our shuttles CLICK HERE.
Q: What are the requirements for my child to qualify as a lap child, meaning that he/she may fly along with me on my lap without being required to purchase a seat for the child?
Children over the age of 2 yrs. will be required to purchase a seat. Children under the age of 2 yrs. are required to have proof of age (passport or birth certificate).
Q: How does Maverick verify the age of a child to determine if he/she qualifies as a lap child?
Maverick follows the same policy as all of the commercial air carriers. This policy is regulated by the FAA and states that parents must have proof of child’s age (i.e. government documentation) if they wish to take the child on a flight as a lap child.
Q: Does Maverick make any exceptions regarding their lap child policy?
As governed by the FAA, we are not permitted to make any exceptions to this policy.
Q: What should I expect on my helicopter excursion?
Maverick prides itself in being the only "true" VIP-level helicopter excursion company in Las Vegas. Guests will be treated to the plush interior of our ECO-Star helicopters, as well as personal narration by our highly qualified pilots. The helicopters are equipped with seven leather passenger seats plus one for the pilot. The seating arrangement is determined by the pilot based on the passengers' weights. Maverick’s VIP check-in lounges are located on the Strip, only minutes away from the hotels, and at the Henderson Executive Airport, just 15 minutes from the city.
Q: How can I best capture all of the highlights of my helicopter adventure?
Maverick Helicopters offers a personalized, DVD recording of the flight. Our helicopters are equipped with an exterior camera, as well as an audio system that captures the pilot’s narration and the interaction between guests during the flight. This video keepsake is a great way to share your experience with friends and relive your excursion for years to come. Photographs are also taken prior to departure and are available in a custom plaque. Photo and DVD packages are available only on the same day of your trip and can be purchased before or after your flight.
Q: Is there a charge if we have to reschedule our tour with Maverick?
Yes, Maverick does charge a rescheduling fee. The fees are the following; $50 per person for a Vegas Voyage/Vegas Nights tour, $100 per person for airline, Grand Canyon South Rim and Grand Canyon tours departing from either Henderson or Las Vegas Blvd terminals.
Q: I did not receive my email confirmation?

Q: When we land at the canyon will there be a restroom available?
If you’re going to be doing a tour that lands on our private bluff 3500 feet below the canyon rim we strongly suggest that you use the restroom at our terminal before your tour since the only thing you will have available to you at the canyon will be his and hers Cacti. If you’re doing a tour that lands at the top of Grand Canyon West or goes to the Grand Canyon National Park (South Rim) you will have facilities available to you at each stop.
Q: What are the terms and conditions of your tours?
Excursions require a minimum number of passengers to operate. Prices and schedules are subject to change without notice. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required; no-shows at the time of departure will be charged in full and will not receive a refund. All times are approximate. Maverick Helicopters reserves the right to combine different length flights. Group terms may vary depending on booking time and the number of guests. The maximum weight limit per person is 300 lbs. and the total passenger weight on the helicopter may not exceed 1,240 lbs. (seven passengers). Guests over the weight limit will be required to purchase 2 seats. Children over the age of 2 yrs. will be required to purchase a seat.
Q: I’m in a wheelchair. Can I still take a Grand Canyon tour?
Yes. To fly and be accommodated, you will need to have a collapsible wheelchair with removable wheels. You must also be accompanied by someone who can assist you with boarding and disembarking the aircraft. Maverick is ADA compliant.
Q: Pregnant women can fly?
Yes, pregnant women fly with Maverick often. We always recommend checking with your doctor.
Q: Guest in wheelchairs?
Guest in wheelchairs fly with Maverick often. Please keep in mind, Maverick’s staff is unable to assist guest into/out of the aircraft.

Q: What’s the best time of day to fly?
Anytime actually. We offer flights throughout the day to the Grand Canyon. First flight departs at 7am and the sunset tours are the last flights to the Canyon. It really just depends on what else you have planned for your day.
Q: What should we wear?
Comfortable clothing and shoes. Camera. Sunscreen.
Q: Do you offer group discounts?

Q: What is the advantage of landing in the canyon?
You are able to walk around and explore. The pictures from the bottom of the Canyon are absolutely breath taking.
Q: Do you have any overnight tours?
No, currently Maverick does not offer overnight tours.
Q: Do you operate every day?
Yes, Maverick is open 365 days a year.
Q: Can we wait until arriving in Vegas to reserve our seats?
We suggest making your reservation at least two weeks ahead of time so you can ensure the date and time you want is available as we typically sell out. Should you wait until you get in Vegas, we may or may not have seating available.
